The course is a self guided lecture series consisting of 15 topics related to Oceanography and Marine Biology and geared towards middle school aged learners. Each week we explore 4 different areas of interest for each topic followed by a review lesson. Some lessons have writing prompts designed to help the student think and communicate like a scientist.
The lessons are pre-recorded lectures ranging from about 5-15 minutes. Supplemental videos and reading accompany most lessons. Writing prompts encourage post lesson conversations with family members and friends to encourage and develop strong verbal and written communication skills.
